When the PGA Tour decided to shorten the main part of its season, with the Tour Championship moving to September instead of the first week of November, some people cheap golf clubsdidnt understand the move.
But the truth is, the PGA Tour had a habit of becoming irrelevant in September and October. Many of the top players stopped playing after the PGA Championship in August, or at least played very little golf after that major championship.  And in theping rapture v2 driver ratings, golf would get killed by the beginning of the NFL season and the playoffs in basbeall.

Now imagine of the Tour Championship was was this weekend. Who would be paying attention with an NFL weekend, college football going on and the start of the baseball playoffs Ping Anser Forged Ironscoming off of one of the most remarkable single days the sports have ever seen?
Frankly, its hard to imagine people getting too fired up for golf in that competition, even if it was the Tour Championship.
Sure, the PGA Tour has four tournaments left to play, and they are important tournaments if you are lping rapture v2 ironsooking for secure a playing exemption for next year. But the main bulk of the PGA Tour is getting off the stage at just the right time, with people still holding a great Tour Championship fresh in their memories.
